Job Summary:
This is a new position for the recently formed non-profit, New York Center for Research, Economic Advancement, Technology, Engineering and Science Corporation (d/b/a "NY CREATES"), a member corporation whose members are The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (the "Research Foundation") and SUNY Polytechnic Institution Foundation, Inc. NY CREATES seeks to advance high-tech research, development and commercialization opportunities through the acquisition, construction and management of state-of-the-art facilities and programs, while promoting economic development, education and workforce training throughout New York. NY CREATES is the sole member of Fuller Road Management Corporation ("FRMC") (a 501c25 not-for-profit corporation) and Fort Schuyler Management Corporation ("FSMC") (a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation).
The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience in GAAP financial accounting standards, not-for-profit financial accounting regulations, corporate financial accounting methodologies and requirements, corporate budget development, budget performance monitoring and reporting, IRS and NYS tax filing requirements, financial audit and statement preparation, and cash management/banking.
