Additional Job Description

**Some important points you need to know**

Cigna has expanded its Healthy Life employee strategy to include a new-hire screening process to test for nicotine. This policy will extend Cigna’s current Tobacco-Free policy to apply to all U.S.-based new and rehires (separated six or more months) in states where permitted by law. Currently, these states are: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Washington State.  If you live in one of these states, to satisfy our drug and nicotine test requirement, you’ll be invited to complete a drug and nicotine test. If you test positive for nicotine, we encourage you to take steps to quit tobacco, after which we invite you to reapply for jobs with Cigna in six months. In participating states, for applicants currently enrolled in a tobacco cessation program, it’s possible your participation in this program will cause your nicotine test to return a positive result. In this event, you can provide a doctor’s note or other documentation from your program, and we can appeal the decision. Acceptable documentation includes a doctor’s note from the treating physician confirming your participation in a cessation program, or documentation of participation in a state-sponsored cessation program.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
