The Opportunity


  • Works closely with the Business Integration, Data (Business Intelligence) team, the billing company (Revenue Cycle Management), and the Quality Programs team, and external stakeholders to execute and manage Vituity's Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR), including capture and validation of data for measures, data reporting, and compliance with all requirements of the registry with discretion and independent judgement.
  • Assesses performance, identifies, and executes process and organizational updates for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Programs initiatives.
  • Assesses and responds to regular and ad-hoc data requests for Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) data, including administrative documentation capture, reporting and analysis both internally and externally.
  • Conducts research for and supports development of new electronic clinical quality measures (eCQM).
  • Works collaboratively to support implementation of various Vituity programs with the Directors of Quality and Performance, Practice Line Operations Teams, IT, Marketing, Vituity Regional Directorsand Vituity Medical Directors, hospital-based teams, external contractors, and other teams as needed.
  • Develops necessary supporting materials (e.g., manual, training modules, curriculum) to support the programs, working with physicians, workgroups, and committees.
  • Works closely with the CMS team to keep CMS Program education up to date, staying on top of CMS updates, and researching information regarding CMS programs, developing materials as needed.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in researching and reviewing policies and regulations; and how to operationalize.
  • Leads CMS data quality assurance and validation efforts to ensure clean and reliable data reporting.
  • Provides business analytics expertise to Physician Division Vice President and/or Practice Line Leadership to drive organizational goals, finding opportunities to exercise best practices and standard work where appropriate, drive accountability, and to keep multiple levels of leadership apprised of significant deviations from meeting site and contract goals.
  • Educates Vituity Regional Directors, Medical Directors, and practice management on data tools, especially within clinical quality reporting.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for performance and quality improvement programs, products, and tools that help assess and improve operational performance, contract stability, patient satisfaction, financial viability, and knowledge dissemination.
  • Promotes information sharing and collaboration with business analytics leads from other Divisions, Practice Lines, and Business Units.
  • Establishes and promotes sustainable best practices for information sharing, reporting, and analytics that can be scaled among different business units within the Operations Division.
  • Provides consultative and hands-on reporting and analytics services for Vituity Divisions, service lines, quality programs, physician leadership, and other external groups.

Required Experience and Competencies


  • Bachelor's level education Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in data analysis, project management, and implementing healthcare-focused programs required.
  • Experience in healthcare Electronic Health Record (EHR) meaningful use metrics, capture, and reporting, ICD codes, etc. required.
  • Master's level education Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in data analysis, project management, and implementing healthcare-focused programs preferred.
  • Experience creating or adjusting task automation tools preferred.
  • Experience reading and translating SQL, CQL, HL-7 coding preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel (advanced including pivot tables and higher functions), Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, HL-7, SQL.
  • Ability to develop and implement change management strategies associated with people, process, and technology solutions in collaboration with cross-functional leaders.
  • Understanding of lean / process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent writing skills (writing sample will need to be submitted during interview process).
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills, including financial statements and statistical reports.
  • Proven ability to establish credibility quickly with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of program development and project management concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle detailed work accurately and quickly, work to deadlines on multiple projects, and work as a team member in a collaborative and participatory manner with limited guidance.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Programs, including the provider-based programs (Merit-based Incentive Payment System, MIPS Value Pathways, Alternative Payment Models, etc.) and hospital-based programs.
