Job Description:

Reporting to the Vice Chair and CFO of State Street, the Global Head of Investor Relations will manage all investor relations consisting of shareholder communications, financial media relations, and internet and intranet investor content. This position works closely with the Chief Executive Officer as well as other members of the executive committee for State Street. As the Global Head of Investor Relations, you will lead the day to-day formulation and execution of short- and long-term external and internal investor communications plans to support the company's strategic business objectives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining positive relationships with shareholders, analysts, and other stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Manage the visibility and presence of the company by serving as the authoritative central source of the Company's financial news, financial information and perspectives needed by the investing public.

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans, ensuring accurate and transparent disclosure of financial information.

  • Represent the CEO and CFO, the Executive Committee, and the Board of Directors as the key liaison between external investor audiences and the Company, coordinating all interactions with these audiences.

  • Develop key investment messages, draft communications, and participate in presentations regarding financial performance, business conditions, leadership changes, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as regulatory issues.

  • Track and report to management on financial performance of competitors relying on press reports, conference calls, investor presentations, and SEC filings.

  • Brief executive management and offer counsel on matters affecting the Company's relationships with the investment community.

  • Monitor and assess changes and trends in the ownership of the company's stock.

  • Distribute analyst estimates and reports on the Company.

  • Track and report on market conditions, opinion, attitude, and sentiment to State Street, and the financial sector in general.

  • Oversee and coordinate investor relations activities on a global scale.

  • Monitor analyst financial models.


Qualifications


  • Strong understanding of global financial markets, accounting principles, and financial analysis to effectively communicate the company's financial performance and outlook.

  • Expert verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner for diverse stakeholders including employees at all levels.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders, fostering trust and confidence. Quickly building trust and credibility with key business leaders internally

  • Must have a track record and credibility to align investor relations strategies with overall business objectives, contributing to the company's long-term success.

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial reporting and investor communications to ensure compliance.

  • Experience in leading and managing a highly capable team, providing direction, and fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to anticipate potential impacts on the company's investor relations strategy.

  • Ability to navigate and communicate effectively during times of crisis or market volatility, ensuring a proactive and strategic response.

  • Highly proficient and effective at delivering compelling presentations, whether in meetings, conferences, or earnings calls.

  • Uncompromising integrity, transparency, and personal and professional character. Brings a reputation of consistent respect from those with whom s/he has worked.

  • A relevant degree in finance, business, or a related field, along with substantial experience in investor relations or a related financial role. Professional certifications, such as CFA or IR-specific certifications preferred.


Salary Range:
$300,000 - $412,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
