Human Resources Generalist at TDK-Lambda Americas Inc in Neptune, New Jersey

Job Description:

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will help ensure the department is poised to support the growth and success of the organization through a variety of HR functions and activities, including, but not limited to employee relations, recruiting, selection, retention, performance management, compensation, benefits, as well as all areas of compliance related to these. This role provides an opportunity to help build critical HR programs, processes, systems, and structures, working in partnership with leaders and employees across the organization. This is a full-time in office role. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Collaborate on the creation, administration, and maintenance of Human Resources policies and procedures that support the business and culture of the Company while adhering to state, federal, and local laws


• Coordinate the staffing process beginning with position requisition, to recruiting and selection, and through onboarding


• Serve on Company’s Safety Team to help ensure safe and healthy work environments in all locations


• Coordinate HR response to internal and external audits (ISO, Quality, etc.)


• Coordinate immigration needs of new and existing staff members, to include visa petitions and permanent resident application processing


• Stay current with HR regulatory compliance and best practices through membership and/or certifications from professional organizations such as SHRM, HRCI, etc.


• Assist with Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives to ensure compliance with various standards (ISO, RBA, etc.)


• Work with team to field HR related inquiries from applicants, staff, and leadership


• Assist with multi-state payroll processing


• Work with team to coordinate employee events (picnics, luncheons, etc.)


• Work with team to create and deploy corporate social responsibility activities (fundraisers, wellness events, etc.)


• Contribute to the greater success of the organization by actively sharing insights and innovations that continuously improve the employee experience.


• Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred


• Three to six years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).


• Experience in a fast paced, multi-state organization a plus


• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills are essential


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Must be detail oriented and resourceful


• Proficient with the MS Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher


• Proven time management/organizational skills and the ability to multi-task


• HR Certification from HRCI, SHRM, etc. preferred


• Ability to travel domestically one to three times per year a plus
