Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced System Engineer to join our Systems Architecture and Engineering team. This position is responsible for supporting and enabling our Digital Power software & hardware solutions. The role will focus on discovery, design, and validation of integrated system solutions across our Digital Power portfolio. This will involve doing hands on software & hardware exploration, writing requirements for the R&D teams, and validation of requirements from the customer perspective. The product portfolio includes Power Metering, Protection, Control, On-prem Software and Cloud. An ideal candidate would have 6-8 years of experience in these areas.

What will she/he do?

• Interface directly with solution engineering team to understand requirements

• Detail all the requirements into Agile based Epics, User Stories and Acceptance criteria

• Develop demo customer scenarios for customer feedback & validation

• Managing product owner expectations through design and deployment process

• Be a thought leader for optimizing the development and deployment process

• Mentoring of Technical Support groups with new features and resolutions to common situations

• Interfacing with development teams to understand integration issues across the product portfolio

• Develop validation use cases and develop automation of those use cases

What qualifications will make her/him successful?

• Good understanding software, hardware, and communications architectures

• Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, BACNet, OPC DA/UA, IEC61850, SNMP

• Experience with business segments such as Data Centers, Energy & Chemical & Power & Grid

• Power Operation or similar SCADA offer and connected communication hardware/gateways

• Basic understanding of OT & IT networking

• Customer-service oriented and able to advocate for customers with project teams

• Strong software/IT maintenance, development, and testing ability for in-depth resolutions of complex system issues

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently and independently.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and technical colleagues, sharing detailed technical information in an easy-to-understand manner (written and verbal)

• Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
