Job Description:

An Operational Support Specialist provides various office support services with a primary focus in hospitality and food handling. Flexibility is required to provide coverage on various day shift schedules depending on coverage needs. The Hospitality role provides “White Glove” customer service and is responsible for handling food setups, taking care of all client meetings and events, and hospitality tasks at a client location. 

Responsibilities


  • Provide “White Glove” hospitality services

  • Set up meeting rooms as specified

  • Safely handle the setup of food and beverages in a hygienic manner

  • Re-plate food delivered by catering vendors to be professionally presented using the client's china and flatware

  • Perform walk through of floor(s) to inspect and ensure that all conference rooms and kitchens are clean, and stocked with supplies

  • Clean pantry and kitchen as needed

  • Provide support for miscellaneous requests and flex services

  • Utilize various software and event planning programs to meet tasks

  • Work closely with the client's staff to assist with front office

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and forward to the appropriate person

  • Take accurate and complete messages for those who are unavailable

  • Promptly greet and announce visitors in a friendly and business-like manner

  • Maintain a neat and organized reception desk and front lobby area

  • Order and stock supplies as needed

  • Perform other administrative duties as requested

Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 1-year work experience, client service-oriented preferred

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail

  • Good customer service skills

  • Ability to handle complaints with professionalism, patience, and diplomacy

  • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs.

  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended periods of time

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft, Outlook, Word, and Excel

The Compensation range for this role is 16.75 to 25.13 USD per hour and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
