Polyurea Application Expert at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Springdale, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

As an Application Specialist, you will lead independent application-driven new product development projects and customer supports. The cross-market fast-growth polyurea platform guides the development of new polyurea products to unlock polyurea underrepresented end uses and supports existing products in the automotive, refinish, industrial, protective and marine, and architectural businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain Graco spray reactor and equipment.


• Create new launch opportunities through customer-facing and application demonstration.


• Design new application process and participate at customer sites to support line trials and launches.


• Independently or collaboratively assist with customer complaint verification, cause identification, and corrective action implementation.


• Lead technicians or other less experienced colleagues in a team environment ensuring that the work is completed safely and promptly.


• Host internal and external customer application training classes.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience related to polyurethane, polyurea, or foam coating application.


• Be able to maintain spray equipment.


• Be able to solve customer issue both onsite and over the phone.


• Experience in root cause analysis and complex problem solving.


• High school diploma required.


• Bilingual is preferred.
