Job Description:

As the Reliability Engineer you will perform complex assignments often requiring development of new or improved processes, or techniques, and may assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests, products, and equipment. Reporting directly to the Delaware, Ohio Plant Engineering Manager you will develop analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes. Determine cost advantages of alternatives and develop action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliability processes/equipment to avoid failures.

Key Responsibilities


  • The Reliability Engineer's prime responsibility is to guide reliability improvements and provide technical expertise for the Paint manufacturing.

  • The job includes overseeing mechanical integrity continuous improvement, inspections, equipment assessments and corrective actions. The PSM mechanical integrity program is also applied in the normal business.

  • Identify troubled assets and reduce the risk of downtime and improving asset reliability.

  • Continuous improvement for reliability is developing and providing training material for mechanics, improving the CMMS system, managing critical spares, developing schedules for dated equipment replacement, and implementing equipment improvements and programs for equipment improvement. These reliability efforts all lead to reducing unplanned downtime, improving normal operation uptime, and reducing SSPL due to equipment failure.

  • You will partake in coordination of projects and planned shutdowns and advises and assists Maintenance Supervisors and Project Engineers.

  • Organize, assigns, expedites and oversee the implementation of preventive maintenance plans, emergency repairs, and manage spare parts for Stores.

  • Responsibilities include troubleshooting failures and root cause analysis of mechanical equipment (vessels, pumps, piping, valves, compressors) and electrical power distribution equipment.



Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance responsibility preferably in chemical manufacturing environment.

  • Prior automated testing experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
