Job Description:

The Inside Salesperson is responsible for selling MOTOR’s data services and related applications (SaaS & DaaS) into the Automotive and Heavy-Duty Truck industries. In this position, you will leverage phone, email and other resources to identify, qualify and close new customer accounts. A qualified candidate will possess excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability. Must have a proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales objectives. Successful candidates who achieve their assigned goals will be considered for conversion to a full-time position with MOTOR.

On a typical day, you will make a minimum of 50 outbound telephone calls and log a minimum of two hours of talk time. You will be speaking to professional businesses in the Automotive/Truck Industry and be trained to understand their needs. 

We are looking for strong sales closers who have a track record in meeting a monthly sales quota. We prefer candidates with automotive knowledge, but if you don’t have it, we will teach you.

You will be assigned an area with prospects to call on and demonstrate the service via Microsoft Teams. This is an hourly plus commission-based position with high earning potential.

MOTOR is the market leader and well known within our industry. Our Inside Sales team has met or exceeded quota in each of the last four years. 

Inside Sales is responsible for selling our flagship SaaS software program to the heavy truck and light duty passenger car industry. This solution is an in-demand offering, with 50% of our sales being generated by inbound leads. 

Compensation package:


  • Salary plus a generous commission plan with uncapped commissions!

Responsibilities:


  • Maximize sales revenues and meet company objectives.

  • Exceptional skills managing full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing business monthly.

  • Managing and prioritizing sales opportunities.

  • Ability to understand and execute sales processes, product and service value propositions.

  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products. 

  • Demonstrated skills of marketing products and/or services over the phone to businesses.

Requirements:


  • Five plus years in Business-to-Business (B2B) products and services, in an outbound sales call center (Cold Calling experience is a must). 

  • Heavy-Duty Truck experience is a plus.

  • Prospecting, negotiating and closing skills to meet sales goals.

  • Strong communication skills, excellent customer service, competitive drive and initiative skills desired.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • Self-starter, self-driven, entrepreneurial personality with a strong work ethic.

  • Competent in understanding and communicating product and technical information. 

  • High energy, passionate and confident with a history of personal success.

  • Prior background working with SalesForce, or other CRM (Customer Relationship Management)/ SFA Applications (NetSuite, SugarCRM, etc.). Will use at a minimum of eight different software programs each day.

  • Proficient skills using Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be comfortable sitting at a workstation for entire shift.
