Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sterilization Production Specialist - Night Shift located in Buffalo Grove, IL.

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Sterilization Production Specialist - Night Shift role involves being responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in the sterilization production area.

Hours: 6pm-6am (rotating)

What a typical day looks like:

• Monitors system controls and logs readings during operation to ensure sterilization system parameters meet specifications.

• Supports ALARA guidelines for proper radiation safety practices within risk exposure areas and maintains a strong safety mindset for all activities.


• Reconciles customer specifications to work orders to determine processing parameters.


• Reconciles and reviews batch record documents for batches that complete sterilization.


• Records data in processing records relative to customer specifications, equipment settings used, and identification and status of materials.

• Ensures secured spaces associated with sterilization system are vacated prior to and during operation.


• Supports equipment qualification tests.


• Understands statistical process control techniques. Maintains process control charts.


• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of designated areas.


• May be required to evaluate support non-conformance investigations, complaints, or to assist in the implementation of corrective actions.


• Maintains knowledge of relevant regulatory and ISO standards.


• Ensures the efficient flow of material through the sterilization system while maintaining radiation exposure safeguards.  


• Supports the safe operation, adjustment, maintenance, and calibration of electron beam sterilization systems.  

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• 4++ years of experience working with automated conveying equipment.


• 6+ years of related manufacturing experience and the ability to use complex equipment, read difficult instructions and maintain written records.
