Job Description:

Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of a Superintendent, act as the lead worker at project sites; direct crews to accomplish work plans and execute construction tasks in accordance with timeline and budget.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate all construction work and crew assignments on a project site; determine daily need for staff and resources
Provide daily guidance to layout person/team and heavy equipment operator(s)
Oversee installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment controls
Prepare safety evaluation of job.
Deliver or coordinate training for safety, including proper use of tools and equipment
Continually monitor job site for safety related issues
Operation of heavy equipment and labor when necessary.
Initiate service calls for equipment maintenance and repair
Support cost estimating activities; provide significant contributions to cost estimating as required
Ensure project sites are organized and clean at the end of each workday
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company protocols and safety standards
Communicate regularly with project manager(s) to facilitate problem-solving, change orders, and invoicing
Must have basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel (entering notes, and photo upload)
Must be able to follow and manage a project from start to finish
