About the Role:

Responsibilities under management direction and support, the Systems Analyst III maintains application solutions, particularly for work order management, asset management, project/product management, inventory management, preventive maintenance, event management, resource scheduling, digital display systems, production support, requirement analysis, data analysis, process engineering and configuration of IT controls. The Systems Analyst III supports multiple applications on behalf of all 12 Reserve Banks and assists with the implementation and operational support of new projects as they emerge.

The Systems Analyst is responsible, with direction from management, for supporting the overall strategy of these solutions for multiple Reserve Banks. Professional Systems Analyst III Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience.

You will perform the below:



  • Application Administration, including management of application security with creation of user profiles, generation of security groups, granting user access and coordinating authentication changes as provided by Information Security, additional tasks include verifying value and necessity of application upgrades by researching release notes, identifying application defects, generating case tickets via the vendor portal, tracking cases to ensure timely resolution and implementing necessary hot fixes or generating work flow.


  • Application Support & Maintenance, including software integrity, coordination of database maintenance, coordination of database reports, initial user training, and follow-up user training session via collaboration software, budgeting and tracking District charges to distribute back via SDS, professional service negotiations with the vendor, coordinating annual vendor maintenance compliance, maintaining accuracy of user licensing, and coordination of optional module purchases.


  • Technical Writing, including customized training manuals for each office, customized quick reference guides to follow individual office workflows, application upgrade documentation, creation and maintaining technical support documentation, providing verbiage for vendor contract negotiations to accommodate additional FRS offices, maintenance of Service Level Agreement (SLA), creation of Commitment Letter.


  • Project/Product Management, including oversight of system upgrades and design changes; assurance to standards and policies; risk analysis for cost, schedule, and quality issues; developing project documentation, such as project plans, communication plans, and project schedules; and managing vendor relationships, including service agreements.


  • Application Development, including application customizations and implementations, software updates, software upgrades, application hot fix testing and implementation, responsible for creating, running and reporting application testing scripts, and technical consulting, including requirements gathering, testing and implementation of solutions, ad hoc SQL development, building of reports and dashboards, and integration with other solutions.

You have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or equivalent.

  • 5 years of system analyst experience. User training experience.

  • Application development languages: HTML, JavaScript, SQL.

  • Knowledge of event management software; Resource Scheduler (a plus).

  • Capacity to work autonomously with quick thinking and decision-making ability.

  • Great communication skills. Knowledge of distributed systems.

  • Proficiency in systems analysis.

  • Technical Writing Skills.

  • Understanding of cloud software architecture.

  • Working knowledge of application testing.

  • Working knowledge of database relationships.

  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and project/product management.

Notes:

This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.

This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process. The work schedule for this position will be rotating shifts; the shifts will be between 6am-7pm CST. More information will be discussed throughout the recruiting process.
