Strategic Marketing Associate

What we offer

Our Strategic Marketing Associate will be responsible for delivering strategic, insights-led sales concepts, materials, and programs for the Westfield Rise U.S. sales team, inclusive of media, experiential and leasing divisions. Within the Sales Strategy team, they report to the Director of Sales Strategy and is expected to assist in the management of several key areas of business, including:


  • Participating in the ideation of creative media and experiential programs

  • Writing compelling and industry-relevant content for internal and external communications

  • Analyzing marketplace trends utilizing consumer research, data, and insights to support proposals and strategic outreach.

Scope


  • Apply both your analytical and creative skill sets to support all stages of the sales process, from proactive program ideation, initial client proposal development & delivery to liaising with internal and external stakeholders to assist with closing the deal.

  • Assist in creating compelling, relevant opportunities and resources spanning media, experiential, partnerships, and sponsorships for the sales team to proactively take to market.

  • Work closely with sales teams to develop compelling ideas and insights-led sales materials to generate revenue from clients and agencies with external-facing collateral.

  • Work closely with sales teams to create, and modify as needed, revenue-generating collateral for The Westfield Network.

  • Write compelling, factual, and actionable content for both internal and external communications.

  • Assist in managing the relationship between Westfield US Rise and center marketing teams to help develop compelling, sellable partnership opportunities.

  • Prospect new digital innovations and trends to identify new technology partners for pilot programs on a digital media network.

  • Assist in the coordination of sales-oriented events including internal sales conferences and client entertaining.

  • Work with corporate PR team and/or independent PR partners to align in all communication outreach.

  • Must possess a positive deposition when working internally with the demands of the sales team.

  • Must be able to effectively engage externally with clients and partners directly.

  • Must be able to successfully manage workload and strong ability to multi-task while maintaining quality of output.

What we are looking for


  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in a marketing or strategy role within a media sales organization.

  • Equally strong analytical and creative/innovative mindset.

  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills; ability to write with both a corporate and casual voice.

  • Background in a media sales organization, preferred out-of-home or publishing in a Marketing Associate role or similar position including experience with integrated sales, with a focus on utilizing consumer research, data, and insights to support the sales process.

  • Understanding of the role of advertising media in a client’s marketing mix and experience with developing sales proposals to address a client’s objectives.

  • Good analytical skills and ability to understand & interpret consumer research reports.

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Design skills including Photoshop and InDesign are preferred but not required.

  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment and effectively prioritize tasks.

  • Proactive thinking and ideation, presenting new ideas to the team that respond to marketplace trends and innovations.

  • Strong ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including internal colleagues from multiple divisions, external clients and agencies, vendor partners.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset who can work well within a team but can also work independently.

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates a “can-do” attitude, self-confidence, and enthusiasm.

Compensation

Exempt

LA: $71,000 – $89,000 + Discretionary Annual Bonus

NYC: $74,000 – $93,000 + Discretionary Annual Bonus
