Manufacturing Lab Tech - LPE (3rd shift) at Coherent Corp. in Hillsborough, New Jersey

Job Description:

We are seeking at Lab Technician (3rd shift) for our LPE (Liquid Phase Epitaxy) process in our Hillsborough, NJ facility. Our 3rd shift is Sun-Thurs 11:00pm - 7:30 am.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Recording and monitoring temperatures of furnaces
• Removing and etching wafers that have terminated
• Etching substrates for growth
• Loading and dipping wafers into furnaces
• Programming and terminating growth cycles
• Measuring weight/thickness/warp of wafers accurately
• Preparing chemical weigh areas
• Fishing broken wafers
• Monitoring chilled water system and acid/Pb scrubbers
• Refilling chemical bottles and prepping chemicals

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Minimum: HS diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Associate degree in a technical/engineering/scientific field

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience working in a technical, scientific, or mechanical field.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment and following good lab practices.
• Experience working with precision measurement methods and systems.
• Experience with PC based computers for programming LPE systems.
• Experience with Excel, Word, and Access.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Experience working with fixtures, hand tools, and equipment controllers is a plus.
• Comfortable working with chemicals, acids, and a high temperature environment.

Demonstrate the ability to read and follow directions while offering suggestions for continuous improvement.
