Position Overview

As the Sales Commercialization Trainer, you will be responsible for identifying training needs, developing content, administering training, and tracking training activities and programs for the Sales and Sales Operations teams. In addition, this role is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of sales strategies to retain new and grow existing business, including National Accounts for GSD and CSD channels.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the development and implementation of standardized Sales and Sales Operations employee-training programs, all markets.
  • Develops strong working relationships with sales leaderships by market at various levels to best understand training needs.
  • Develops and implements training, tools and continued employee development programs including centralized and decentralized training programs for sales employees at all levels via classroom, computer-based and on-the-job formats to streamline operations, improve customer experiences, and increase sales.
  • Confers with leadership at all levels to determine training needs and develops training programs.
  • Coordinates and facilitates Sales Onboarding for new employees and develops/implements continuous education for all Sales employees.
  • Works closely with Sales and Sales Operations leadership to identify key Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for critical business functions and develops and implements education activities to ensure proper skills, techniques and behaviors are exhibited in the workplace.
  • Works in conjunction with the Learning and Development Team to prepare, organize, update, and distribute training materials, testing and evaluation procedures, and other miscellaneous educational materials.
  • Ensures we are driving annual strategy as we consider and develop training resources to support gaps and opportunities.
  • Works with cross-functional partners to analyzes industry and channel trends to identify development opportunities
  • Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume trends, and projections.
  • Performs other duties as required and acts as a resource for Sales and Sales Operations teams.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.
Position Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in related field from four-year college or university preferred.
  • 2 years of successful sales training experience.
  • 2 years of developing training content and total enterprise training schedules.
  • 3 years of successful sales experience (CPG sales experience preferred), specifically with regional or key accounts; OR equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill experience requirements at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience working with on-premise and food service channels preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM. Knowledge of SAP a plus.
