Who we are looking for.

State Street Global Advisors is looking for a Senior Technology Lead with 10+ years' experience to join our Portfolio Analytics Technology Solutions team. The candidate will play a key role in designing and optimizing software applications support ESG data and reporting across enterprise-wide business functions, providing innovative solutions and co-ordinate work effort with other teams. The candidate will work closely with application development, database architecture and Infrastructure teams. The position is in Boston, MA. Due to the role requirements his job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

• Design, develop and maintain applications leveraging Python, PySpark, and SQL leveraging cloud native architecture principles and technologies.

• Lead the design and development of scalable and robust software application architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices on AWS Cloud architecture.


• Participate in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, unit testing, and production deployment.


• Manage and guide application developers across different geographies in achieving technical implementation milestones.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure successful project execution.


• Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation.


• Document and interact with business and technology stake holders/team members, as necessary.


• Ensure all technical solutions exhibit higher level of efficiency, performance, security, scalability, and reliability.


• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for adopting new tools and technologies to improve our technology stack.


• Develop oneself into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Technical and Functional domain areas.

• Demonstrated experience building data pipelines with Python, Databricks, and AWS.


• Application development experience in financial services with hands on designing, developing, and deploying complex applications. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements in a technical design and through to implementation.


• Strong leadership skill, analytical problem-solving skills, quick to learn and adapt.


• Self-motivated, creative problem solver, organized, collaborative with excellent communication skills.


• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle for Iterative, Agile, and traditional approaches.


• Experience working with global development teams across different geographies and time zones.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.


• 10+ years of experience required.


• Relevant certifications i.e., AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred.

• Experience in Financial Services, Asset Management functions highly preferred

$110,000 - $185,000 Annual
