Job Description:

Leidos QTC Health Services is hiring an Environmental, Health & Safety subject matter expert! The EH&S Specialist is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) programs and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements as well as company EH&S requirements.


This is a fully remote role, with travel expected about 25% to company sites across the U.S.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Develops, executes and promotes EH&S programs with minimal supervision


• Conducts inspections and risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance and monitors EH&S program implementation• Serves as a subject matter expert in EH&S     program areas relevant to QTC operations (e.g., medical/clinical safety, bloodborne pathogens, ergonomics, radiation safety, aerosol transmissible disease programs)


• Participates in site accident/incident investigations and assessment of EH&S concerns


• Develops implementable recommendations for corrective actions, drives implementation, and documents completion to address identified EH&S needs


• Enhances the EH&S management of operations across the QTC enterprise


• Supports and coordinates with other internal organizational stakeholders (HR/Facilities/Leidos EH&S) to successfully implement safety, health and environmental         initiatives


• Develops and leads EH&S training program

• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated attention to detail and problem solving abilities


• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management


• Experience designing, writing and implementing EH&S policies, processes and procedural documentation


• Strong understanding of EH&S laws and regulations


• Ability to effectively interact and communicate with regulatory agencies


• Proven ability to efficiently organize, plan, coordinate and multi-task with a high sense of urgency, confidentiality and follow through


• Able to creatively and successfully develop and market EH&S initiatives to the organization


• Strong strategic thinking, training, and motivational skills


 


Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)



             • BS degree required


             • At least 5 years of "hand's on" experience implementing EH&S programs within a medical, clinical and/or research environment, plus at least 2 years of additional                     EH&S related experience


              • Experience effectively interacting with regulatory agencies


              • Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite and database management


              • Certified Safety Professional or related certification preferred



       


      Pay and Benefits:


      Salary range $106,000 - $136,000
