Job Summary:

The Vice President of Talent is a key member of the Human Resources' senior leadership team at The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. You will develop, communicate, and lead the Bank's Academy Company strategic vision of growing leaders at all levels of the Bank. The VP Talent reports to the SVP Human Resources and works collaboratively with the Bank's officers and senior officers in driving strategic talent plans, goals, and objectives for the organization. You will develop a comprehensive approach for employee development, skills and capabilities enhancements, organizational design, and talent programs focused on coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.

What You Will Do:

Lead and execute the Academy Company strategic plan for the Bank which includes providing clear direction regarding strategic goals, priorities, and values in the context of employee development, organizational design, and leadership effectiveness.

Help develop Bank goals and important objectives, with focus on employee development, skills and capability enhancements and workforce strategy.

Engage and collaborate with the HR staff, officers, and sr. officers as a business partner.

Be an advisor and coach to department leadership and staff on talent-related programs, issues, and opportunities.

Develop and lead the succession planning process, management and leadership development trainings and other talent-related programs and processes for the Bank.

Develop relationships with FRS leaders and staff, demonstrating expertise, engagement, and active participation on system-wide projects.

Fulfill job responsibilities in conformance with FRBP and FRS policies and procedures.

Create, lead, and foster, a Bank culture that is supportive of diversity, equity and inclusion, collaboration, innovation and being open.

What You Have:

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor`s degree in Human Resources Management (or equivalent).

  • Master`s degree is a plus.

  • Ten or more years of progressively more responsible HR, talent management, organizational design & effectiveness experience in the Federal Reserve System, or comparable experience in a corporation or public sector.

  • Experience working, leading, and performing in a highly complex and matrixed organization.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Exceptional strategic planning and thinking, inclusive leadership, business acumen and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience influencing leaders and stakeholders at the highest levels of the Bank, through exceptional relationship management, judgment, and communication.

  • Experience positively coaching, leading, and developing others to achieve their professional best.

  • Advanced collaboration skills and an interest in ensuring strong cross-functional and enterprise-wide relationships, with an ability to partner with others in the pursuit of common goals.

  • Exceptional written, presentation and facilitation skills.

The salary range for this position is: $211,300 - $295,000. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, and skills, and internal equity and alignment with market data.
