Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Summer 2024 Software Engineer Intern located at either our Fort Collins, CO or Houston, TX locations.

Role:

Join our team of .NET Software Engineers delivering customized solutions on the ESRI GIS and ArcFM Solution to Utility companies around the world.

As a member of our Professional Services team, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level web and desktop applications using Artificial Intelligence, C#, ArcObjects, and the .NET framework.

The ideal candidate for this role will be eager for a customer-facing software engineering role with responsibility for tasks in the full software development life cycle from design to end-user support.

What will you do?

  • Support the design & development of enterprise-level software solutions by t riaging, executing, documenting, and managing initiatives and issues for the Azure DevOps, ESRI ArcGIS and Utility Network, Amazon Web Services, ArcFM Solution Suite, and Oracle & MS SQL Server database technology stacks.
  • Write and implement code with a variety of technologies (AI, C#, Python, ArcObjects, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript) relating to extending and customizing desktop, web, and mobile based solutions for electric, gas, water and wastewater, and telecom utility clients.
  • Serve as engineering support to a geographically dispersed team that are primary contacts to a client base that is knowledgeable, technical, and often in operation-critical functions at utility companies.
  • Solve internal technical issues ranging from configuration and software defects to infrastructure innovation for next-generation offerings.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to take direction and immediately apply that knowledge to the task at hand independently, or as part of a solutions team, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Who will you report to?

  • This position will work under a full-time technical lead on the team

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Current student pursing a degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Graduation date of December 2024 or May 2025 preferred

  • Able to work hybrid on-site based in Fort Collins, CO or Houston, TX, please note that this position does not provide funding for relocation.


The U.S. compensation for this full-time position is a range starting with at least $22 per hour for candidates located within the U.S. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
