Lead Operator will assist team members in following standard work in order to meet goals with respect to Safety, Quality, and Production. Assists with training employees, facilitates employee suggestions to the 2 second lean program, and stays in constant communication with supervisor.
Daily duties: Required but not limited to:

Leads team stretches.
Demonstrates sufficient technical proficiency to support operator performance and departmental goals.
Helps ensure employees are properly trained.
Monitors team member performance, work-station set-up, correct use of proper tools, etc., to assure adherence to safety, ergonomic and quality standards.
Perform line setups as needed.
Orders parts from warehouse as needed.
Verifies parts using work instructions or blueprints.
Assures all parts not being used are moved away from the line and put away.
Updates departmental boards; records reasons for results and acts on flow interrupters.
Maintains and improves on own and operators' standard work.
May schedule operator work assignments.
Works production or operates machines as needed.
Meets or exceeds production rates and quality standards.
Fork Truck and LOTO certification may be required.
Help Support changeovers when needed
Accurately calculates and submits paint list.

Physical Requirements and Manual Dexterity

Constant standing throughout shift, with occasional walking.

May lift up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
Effective use of appropriate basic hand and power tools.
May be required to successfully complete Industrial Powered Vehicle certification, including any necessary hearing and/or vision testing.
