Location: Angola, IN  (Relocation offered in most cases)

Responsibilities


  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.


  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities, selection and prioritization for process improvements throughout the organization. Collaborate with team members to implement improvement strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize productivity.


  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze operational data, performance metrics, and process indicators to identify areas for improvement. Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of inefficiencies. Facilitate the development of data-driven recommendations for process enhancements.


  • Participate in Improvement Projects: Actively participate and/or lead cross-functional improvement projects. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans, conduct process mapping, and support the implementation of improvement initiatives. Track project progress and report on outcomes.


  • Training and Workshops: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs related to continuous improvement methodologies. Contribute to the development and delivery of educational materials to foster a culture of continuous improvement among employees.


  • Process Documentation and Standardization: Oversee documenting of current processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices. Work closely with team members to update and maintain process documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency. Support the implementation of standardized processes across the organization.


  • Problem-Solving Support: Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders in problem-solving efforts. Participate in root cause analysis activities, brainstorming sessions, and the development of action plans to address process challenges and drive sustainable improvements.


  • Continuous Improvement Communication: Communicate efforts related to continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for preparation of reports, presentations, and visual aids to effectively communicate project updates, improvement opportunities, and key performance metrics to stakeholders.


  • Continuous Learning and Development: Proactively seek opportunities for professional growth and development in the field of continuous improvement. Stay updated on industry best practices, methodologies, and emerging trends. Share acquired knowledge to support ongoing improvement efforts throughout the organization.

Education / Certifications / Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Management preferred. 

  • 2-3 years in continuous improvement or business Process, manufacturing engineering, or other related manufacturing experience.

  • Preferred experience with CI, Lean Initiatives and/or Process / Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Yellow, green belt highly preferred.

Qualifications


  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.

  • Understanding and support Company policies and procedures. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills. 

  • Data collection tools, including forms, templates, and software for gathering and analyzing data.

  • Measuring tools such as calipers, rulers, and gauges for taking accurate measurements during process assessments.

  • Safety equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection, depending on the work environment.

  • Excellent training/presentation skills.

  • Advanced technical and/or mechanical skills.

  • Must have a basic understanding of computers and Microsoft programs.

Physical Requirements: 


  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • This position works in a manufacturing environment. 

  • This position operates in a shop floor and office environment. 

  • Involves: long periods of shop floor activities, frequent stooping, and bending

  • This position routinely uses standard office equipment.

Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
