Product Support Supervisor at Medline Industries, Inc. in Northfield, Illinois

Job Description:

Medline Industries, LP has an immediate opening for a Product Support Supervisor, Capital Equipment & Furnishings Division. This role will be based out of our corporate office in Northfield, IL and will work a hybrid model. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional who is interested in analysis, process improvement, people management and interacting with sales and product management. This individual must have a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. Under general supervision, develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies. Conduct performance reviews and provided management with reports.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day tasks of the Product Support Specialists, including but not limited to scheduling various activities, assigning projects, managing overtime schedules and ensuring team performance metrics are tracked and achieved.


• Ensure timely communication to direct reports and follow up on overall progress by offering coaching and additional training in
  areas for which objectives are not being met. Based on feedback, oversee and prioritize daily workloads to meet deadlines.


• Provide in depth knowledge and support to various internal departments and team members. Respond to escalated issues or
  questions.


• Oversee the collection, review and file maintenance of all documentation relating to Capital, provide reports
  for month end/weekly processing.


• Ensure all incoming customer/sales requests are reviewed, resolved or passed to the appropriate group by working collaboratively
  with the Product Support team.


• Ensure department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current and followed.


• Facilitate and/or participate in divisional meetings in the absence of OPS Leadership.

Management responsibilities include:
--Typically, manages through multiple Managers. Provides leadership and management to one or more major departments of an
operating unit or to a department that has system-wide accountability.
--Strategic, tactical and operational planning (1yr to 3yr horizon) for the function or department;
--Direct budgetary responsibility for one or more departments, functions or major projects/programs;
--Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops;
--Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies;
--Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating
personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational
policies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' experience in the Medline Product Support Specialist/Lead role.
• SAP experience.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts,
  using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting
  table columns).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Management training courses or previous supervisory experience
• Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple
  projects with varying completion dates.
• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page
  and/or creating a pivot table).
• Advanced skill level in enterprise software (SAP preferred).
