Job Description:

Ready to take the lead and make an impact? As the Lead Systems Analyst/Data Science Team Lead, you will lead the Data Science and Machine Learning team at one of the largest Pediatric hospitals in the nation. You will be part of an innovative, highly talented and motivated team that has successfully operationalized machine-learning models in clinical and operational workflows. You will play a pivotal role in interacting with clinicians, nurses and operational leaders and staff to understand their advanced analytics needs, work on project intakes, assigning resources to projects and helping with managing day-to-day operations of the team. With your expertise, you will guide and inspire a team of talented data scientists and data architects, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and driving process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility A: Lead the Way
• Be the go-to person for team members, providing guidance and support in their functional areas.
• Offer valuable input to the manager on team performance and provide feedback to enhance technical and application support.
• Assist the manager in ensuring seamless operations and leading regular team meetings to foster collaboration and communication.

Responsibility B: Delivering Excellence
• Maintain a proactive approach in handling support incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and efficient assignment to team members.
• Escalate priority incidents as needed and ensure timely feedback to customers.

Responsibility C: Coordinating Change
• Work closely with the manager to prioritize change orders and ensure meticulous documentation.
• Efficiently assign change orders and projects to team members while providing timely status reports as required.
• Effectively manage projects, utilizing different project management methodologies like agile, waterfall etc. to achieve successful outcomes.

Responsibility D: Knowledge is Power
• Document support processes and educate support staff, service desk, and customers.
• Prepare knowledge articles for end users, service desk, and customer support staff.
• Conduct training sessions as needed to keep everyone up to speed.

Responsibility E: Streamline Workflows
• Ensure workflows are documented and updated in the central repository
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review and update workflows to reflect current business processes.

Responsibility F: Continuous Improvement
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve team processes, involving team members in the process.
• Assist the manager in creating templates, methodologies and value accelerators for the various Machine learning/ Predictive analytics services offered
• Collaborate with vendors, business owners, and team members to review new application functionality and identify areas for improvement.
• Prioritize and implement approved process improvements and application enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• H.S. Diploma or GED required
Experience
• 10 years of major system design and implementation experience required.
Education offset:
• Bachelor's degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience.
• Master's degree will substitute for two (2) additional years of work experience.

Preferred
• Experience in Predictive Analytics & Machine Learning.
• Experience managing a team of data scientists.
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies.
• Experience in Healthcare.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Experience making presentations.
• Experience managing multiple projects.
• Experience handling multiple priorities.
• Prefer degree in Data Science or Computer Science.

Experience offset:
