Job Description and Responsibilities

The Regional Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of our company’s Colorado region’s sites. The Regional Manager determines the mode of operation that is undertaken by the chain of sites under their supervision by ensuring that each one of them follow company rules and guidelines when carrying out their routine activities.

  • Coordinate, monitor, and manage various Recycling locations within Colorado

  • Lead, motivate, and support Colorado team, including career development plans for direct reports

  • Maintain constant communication with managers, employees, and vendors to ensure efficient operations

  • Embrace the EVRAZ Business System to engage site leaders to continuously improve yards operations

  • Drive productivity and quality initiatives using KPI’s in conjunction with Lean Methodologies.

  • Consistently grow market share by identifying new sources of purchased material

  • Optimize volume allocation of scrap within the region to achieve optimal financial performance

  • Implement business transformation and continuous improvement efforts within region

  • Partner with HR to recruit, develop, and retain talent and evolve the local team’s capabilities

  • Develop plans to achieve optimal equipment utilization, labor cost, and maintenance activities

  • Develop and manage regional operational budgets, capital plans and cost savings targets

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, provincial and federal laws in US

  • Support top management to develop and implement new plans/ideas that will enhance the operations of the company at large

  • Improve regional processes, policies, and practices to achieve company’s goals

  • Oversee quarterly performance review for the Colorado team

  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, MBA considered an asset

  • A total of 10-15 years progressive leadership experience

  • Minimum 5 years in operations leadership role in recycling, metals, steel, or heavy manufacturing

  • Minimum 2 years managing an industrial workforce and managing a multi-site operation

  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word and other IT solutions

  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results growing or improving a business

  • Solid business acumen, analytical, quantitative skills; experience with managing financials

  • Communicates clearly and effectively with shop floor, management, and functional staff

Compensation: $160,000-175,000 depending upon experience
