CERTIFIED MEDICAL CODER I OR II TRIBAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT The successful applicant must have a valid Drivers License, and for Coder I - Certification from an accredited Professional Coding Institution (AHIMA or AAPC); CPC at a minimum. Six (6) months outpatient coding experience. For Coder II - More than one certification from an accredited Professional Coding Institution (AHIMA or AAPC). Two (2) years of outpatient coding experience. All applicants must submit a Tribal application, a copy of academic transcript, certifications, copy of valid drivers license, proof of enrollment from a federally recognized Tribe if other than CSKT, and if claiming veterans preference, a copy of the DD214 must be submitted. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION DURING THE SCREENING PROCESS. This position is not a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy. The successful applicant, if not already employed by the Tribes must pass a pre-hire drug test and serve a mandatory six (6) month probationary period.
