What we need:
Mohawk is looking for CAD Technician who can do more with Mohawk.
The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for creating seaming diagrams by working with the sales staff and internal departments to develop an overall installation plan that will be a win-win for the customer and for Mohawk.
What you'll do:
- Work with designers and other internal and external personnel to develop high-quality design documents using Auto CAD
- Perform drafting operations for the determination of project plans and collect data for those designs
- Maintain communication with sales, designers, engineers, field service technicians, and the customer for any design/engineering issues. Confer with engineering and design staff to determine design modifications and enter editing information into the computer.
- Create detailed visuals that give information about dimensions and materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD
- Proficiency in mathematics as it relates to carpet layouts, pattern repeats, and yardage calculations.

- Understanding of carpet installation preferred

- Working collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team, with strong personal organization, poise, and professionalism
- Able to handle multiple conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
- Effectively communicate to work efficiently with internal departments, sales force, customers, and installers.
- Driving optimization and results through reporting and analytics
- Reading, measuring, and comprehending blueprints
