This position is responsible for the overall design, implementation, communication, administration and compliance for ACAMS' global compensation and benefit programs. The incumbent has strong analytical skills and can capably design and evaluate compensation and benefit programs, ensuring they are competitive, sustainable, scalable, data driven, and positively impact the performance of the organization. The incumbent is an effective communicator and project manager who can select and manage vendors, meet deadlines, ensure colleagues receive the highest quality service and communicate programs effectively. The incumbent will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


  • Develops and implements colleague benefits programs including health, PTO, life, disability, profit-sharing and other retirement-related programs.
  • Provides leadership for the introduction or change in benefit plans ensuring colleague understanding and utilization.
  • Owns a variety of compensation projects including annual compensation planning cycle.
  • Owns and manages the annual open enrollment benefits process.
  • Regularly reviews and evaluates the quality, utilization, cost, service and satisfaction of assigned benefit plans; makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Manages global benefits vendors effectively, ensuring service level agreements are met and service issues are addressed.
  • Creates and maintains processes to ensure all benefits plans remain in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Designs communications to increase understanding and utilization of benefit programs.
  • Performs data analyses related to the organization's annual pay program and merit/bonus planning.
  • Develops, implements and maintains a global grading scale for jobs across the organization.
  • Researches and analyzes laws and regulations as they pertain to compensation to ensure compliance.
  • Recommends modifications to existing programs as he/she sees fit.
  • Consults with internal customers on fair and competitive compensation policies, programs, tools and processes.
  • Manages requests for reviewing, analyzing and grading new or revised jobs.
  • Owns a process for creating and assigning job codes and job grades in the global HRIS.
  • Leads job analysis and market pricing reviews using survey information and other compensation tools.
  • Recommends compensation adjustments according to findings of detailed research and analysis.
  • Ensures stakeholders are aware of impending benefits changes and appropriate training is conducted.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience working in compensation and benefits in a global environment.
  • Customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
  • Strong collaborative skills across functional teams.
  • Experience with global HRIS, preferably with Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management, Project Management & Influencing skills.
  • Technology-savvy with advanced user of applications like Excel, MS Visio, project management solutions, reporting and analytics tools.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must, any additional European or Global language proficiency a plus.
  • Good numeracy and problem-solving skills
  • This is a hybrid role / must reside in the Chicago area
