Reporting to the Global Investigations Manager, the Senior Investigator will be responsible for leading internal investigations related to violations of corporate policy, threats to employees and facilities, and other incidents as directed by senior leadership. The successful candidate will implement investigative plans, brief key stakeholders, gather physical and electronic evidence, and complete detailed interviews with subjects of interest and witnesses while ensuring all actions are documented in case management. This role requires establishing strong partnerships with various business units, to include Legal Counsel, Human Resources, and the Physical and Cyber Security Teams, to successfully complete investigations.
The Senior Investigator will be required to occasionally work outside normal business hours & some travel will be required.
While this position is posted in the Internal Investigations section of Physical Security, a successful candidate should have the willingness and ability to work successfully across or in all functions of Physical Security's scope of operations as needed or departmental needs dictate.
What you'll do
Complete detailed, concise written reporting through case management system
Preparation and analysis of monthly metrics for leadership
In-person and remote interviews with persons of interest and witnesses
Mentor and develop other investigators to promote growth and information sharing
Ensure the safety and security of Equifax employees and facilities utilizing protective intelligence and threat management strategies
Be a core member of the Equifax multidisciplinary threat assessment team (Safety Response Team) and complete required threat assessment and management training
Liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners and, as needed, represent Equifax in legal proceedings
Respond to emergencies (on-call) and provide operational support to the Physical Security, Emergency Management and Crisis Management Team
Assist in the performance of Physical Security Assessments and Penetration Tests, including the development of risk-based mitigation methods
Collaboratively identify, measure, and mitigate risks to physical security projects
Respond to Physical Security Incidents and take direction for Physical Security leadership
What experience you need
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience
5+ years of experience in an investigations based role
2+ years of experience in financial services, threat assessment or corporate investigations experience
Industry recognized training / certification in investigative interviewing (CFI, Wicklander-Zulawski, Reid)
Training and experience conducting behavioral threat assessments and implementing threat management strategies, preferably in a corporate setting
Experience collecting Open Source Intelligence through various platforms and methods
Demonstrated ability to complete interviews and investigations discreetly and in a confidential manner
