Job Description:

Sort providers dictated notes from Sacred Heart Medical Center, McKenzie Willamette Hospital, Slocum Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and Day Surgery at River Bend. Ascertain and assigns appropriate ICD-10 code and modifier, if needed, to clinic procedures. Ascertain and assigns appropriate CPT code and modifier and fees to surgical procedures. Research and provide surgery estimates Assist physicians with surgery assist fees and appropriate codes. Work with physicians to resolve coding issues. Work with Patient Registration to process new patients, new problem accounts on patients seen through the ER. Work with Account Representatives to assign proper OHP codes through Line Finder. Assist Surgery Scheduling and prior authorization with CPT and ICD codes. Assist Transcription in coding STAT dictation ASAP. Verify all E/M charges are accurate and all services are documented and billed out correctly. Change any codes to be more specific if needed. Communicate back to the physicians of any corrections or continued issues. Participate in educational activities
