Position Summary
Responsibilities in this role will include: drafting, analyzing and negotiating commercial sales contracts of varying scope and complexity; working directly with internal stakeholders and clients, as well as Schneider Electric customers and partners, to negotiate and finalize sales contracts; support of contract administration and contract lifecycle management (CLM) operation; and other administrative tasks and project in support of the Legal Department
As a contract analyst, you will be responsible for the substantive review of business contracts to ensure that the terms are clear and consistent with SE's standard contracting practices
Your duties will include, among other things, negotiating terms and conditions on Schneider Electric's behalf with counterparties, analyzing contract language to understand the business and legal implications, drafting and revising new and amended contracts, and presenting contractual arrangements to senior management for approval.
You will operate as a key partner to provide high quality service and strategic support and advice to the business
This role will also involve supporting in-house counsel on commercial dispute resolution and related administrative tasks, such as coordinating and attending internal meetings with relevant stakeholders, preparing correspondence and other documents, and general research and support activities at the direction of supervising counsel
To support Schneider Electric's North America Legal team by providing expertise in the areas of commercial contracting, contract administration, legal department technology platform administration and operations
Roles & Responsibilities
Drafting, analyzing and negotiating commercial contracts of varying scope and complexity
Working directly with internal clients, as well as with Schneider Electric customers and partners, to negotiate and finalize contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and additional contractual negotiation as needed
Supporting supervising counsel on contract negotiations as well as commercial dispute resolution
Supporting enterprise Legal Department initiatives, at the direction of the General Counsel, in implementing and operating legal technology platforms; invoicing, legal department analytics and reporting; and other opportunities and initiatives supporting the growth and digital transformation of the Legal Department
Managing demand by working closely with Legal Department leaders to prioritize programs and projects based on business needs, Legal Department needs, resource capacity, risk exposure and interdependencies
Maintaining clear overview and timely updates of project timelines (charts, spreadsheets, etc.) and progress using task management tools

At least 2+ years in commercial contracting, contract negotiation, and contract administration in a corporate legal department
Must be proficient in Office 365 suite of applications

Preferences
Certified paralegal training/experience
Law firm experience will be considered but is not required
Have prior experience supporting digital/IT, energy management, and automation business units
Experience with Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, Tableau, Legal Tracker, and CLM applications
