Position description:

A Data Center Consulting Engineer is responsible for embedding themselves with Data Center customers by fully understanding their financial and operational goals as well as the technical considerations necessary to achieve them. The candidate will oversee project delivery teams of subject matter experts to deliver holistic solutions to the customer that leverage the entire breadth of Schneider Electric's capabilities.

Responsibilities may include:


  • Act as the Trusted Advisor for large data centers at the fleet/corporate level

  • Understand the goals and concerns of customers managing a large portfolio of data centers

  • Organize and manage teams with multiple, interconnected skillsets

  • Work with business development managers and sales teams to develop business cases for improvements to power system and asset management, based on information discovered during on-site assessments

  • Coordinate with Internal and External Stakeholders

  • Both a technical and business development background.

  • Interested in high visibility projects that affect organizations

  • Prior experience working in data centers or with data center customers.

  • Experience with thermal management optimization in Data Centers

  • PLC and relay familiarity

  • Design, protection controls and automation familiarity.

  • Project management and team leadership experience.

  • Able and interested in managing others to complete tasks.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to collaborate with others to free up energy.

  • Proactive, independent, and self-motivated. Comfortable with ambiguity and self-reliance.

  • Excited about finding opportunities, creating relationships, and growing the business.

  • SCADA, Data Management Systems, DCIM familiarity

  • Able to travel nationally as needed.


Qualifications:

  • BS in engineering from ABET accredited institution.

  • 5+ years of experience work with data centers

  • 5+ years working electrical industry

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Experience working with sales teams and customer accounts. Customer facing, customer satisfaction, customer feedback.

  • Experience with orders growth and management.

  • Experience in both business development and sales.
