Major Function and Scope


Knowledge of precision tools.

Knowledge of calipers.

Produces metal parts for repair of mechanical and other equipment.

Follows standard operating and safety procedures.

Keeps supervisor informed of work in progress and any problem areas.

Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized.

Performs other related duties as required.


Experience and Knowledge Required


Knowledge of common metal properties.

2 or more years of industrial machinist experience.

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Good math skills. Knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets. Ability to read and write in English. Must be able to differentiate between various colors.
