Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Mold Maker located in Buffalo Grove, IL.

Reporting to the Tooling Manager, the Mold Maker role involves being responsible for a variety of molding and tooling activities.  

What a typical day looks like:

• Plan sequence of operations for mold constructions.


• Study blueprints of the mold and plastic piece part and verify specifications.


• Help lead mold maker to complete projects.


• Lead small components and pilot tools.


• Perform machine set-ups and be able to operate manual and CNC machines to specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc.


• Check machined parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances.


• Manage inventory levels for both consumable and spare items


• Order inventory items for both consumable and spare items.


• Document spending for all projects inside a excel file


• Document paperwork in the network


• Complete CI Projects

• Fit all mold components and verify proper tool function.


• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Associate's degree or equivalent apprenticeship and/or education.


• 2 years minimum experience in mold manufacturing.


• Strong focus on customer satisfaction.


• Ability to execute tasks thoughtfully, quickly, and with discipline.


• Committed to continuous improvement.


• Driven to achieve success.


• Required to assist with mold repair concerns.
