Responsible for planning, organizing and managing assigned activities in the Finance and Customer Service Departments. Provides the day-to-day supervision for receiving, disbursing and accounting of revenues and expenditures for the City. Supervises the accounting, accounts payable, revenue collection, utility billing and collection, utility customer service, fixed assets, assessments and payroll functions. Performs the specialized accountant and supervisory level work for the City and provides significant financial support in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets and the City Annual Financial Report (CAFR) preparation.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in accounting, business, finance, public administration or a related field and five years or more experience in finance administration (preferably in local government), at least two (2) years of which must have been above the first-line supervisory level; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
