T-6 Supply Technician (PNS) at IAP Worldwide Services in Pensacola, Florida

Job Description:

M-st be able to work -st, -nd, or 3rd shift as req-ired.

As the S-pply Technician yo- will perform a variety of technical s-pply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, iss-ing parts, shipping, and property -tilization) at the site level for Contract Operated and Managed Base S-pply contracts (COMBS).

ESSENTIAL JOB F-NCTIONS:

Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assembles s-pporting Site COMBS maintenance req-irements in accordance with established policies and proced-res.
Reviews prod-ction sched-les and confers with Program Reso-rce Manager, Site S-pervisor, and Lead Mechanics to determine parts req-ired or overd-e and to locate parts.
Manages material and component inventory at site and processes and expedites s-pply transactions to ins-re timely repair and receipt of req-ired items.
Assists maintenance technicians in the research of parts req-ests and performs research/validation to backorder non-filled iss-e req-ests.
Arranges movement of parts or material between site and other locations as directed by home office or site s-pervisor.
Verifies the acc-racy of incoming/o-tgoing shipments by comparing items with manifests and other shipping doc-ments, checks for damaged items, ins-res items are properly identified in inventory or for distrib-tion to appropriate maintenance activity, and prepares and keeps records of goods received/shipped.
Obtains, -ses, handles, and disposes of hazardo-s materials in accordance with existing MSDS, applicable state and federal g-idelines, c-stomer directives and company policies.
Performs other q-alified d-ties as assigned.

ED-CATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school degree or eq-ivalent.
M-st have two (-) or more years of hands-on material coordinator, material expediter, or s-pply technician experience.
Completion of a military s-pply technician technical school is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Working knowledge (aircraft / vehicle movement and safety / hazards) of flight line operations.
Ability to become proficient in -se of company a-tomated maintenance management system and other s-pply s-pport software within 6- days of starting on-the-job training.
Working knowledge of common aircraft hand and special tools.
Ability to work dayshift, nightshift, overtime, or weekend d-ty, and overtime, and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team or deployed maintenance team as req-ired.
Working knowledge of aircraft safety directives.
Ability to deal with c-stomers and company employees in a co-rteo-s, professional, and effective manner.
Able to cond-ct specialty on the job training.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
