Kroger is looking for current college students who are interested in gaining on the job training, mentorship, and real-world experience in their field of choice.

The Kroger Summer Internship Program is a 12 week immersive experience that offers students an opportunity to grow their careers through a variety of focused internship assignments. Summer 2024 dates: May 20 - August 9.

Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kroger Co (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status). Minimum

-Technical majors (Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering) preferred, must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0

-Highly motivated student with the desire to take initiative on their own work

-Programming skills in at least one or two languages (Python, Java, R, C, C++, C#, SQL)

-Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently

-Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information

-Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization

Desired

-Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and methodologies

-Azure experience

-Ability to analyze and interpret information and apply to business needs

-Prior experience in a retail environmentAs a Kroger Labs Intern, you will work on innovative and challenging R&D projects that will help drive the technical landscape of the grocery industry. You may work in several disciplines including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Video Analytics, Internet of Things, Digital Twin, or Simulation to gain exposure to the different technology areas and continue developing the leadership and business skills needed to enhance your technology career. • Complete assigned projects and tasks related to specific technology initiatives, which can include both research as well as development.
• Partner with technology and business associates to assist with various projects to implement technical and corporate strategies.
• Maintain and follow operational procedures and processes.
• Participate in weekly/monthly department meetings.
• Assist in working on innovative technology platforms that are revolutionizing the retail industry.
• Engage with peers on committees that include philanthropy, branding and community events.
• Participate in intern programs that support technical and leadership development within the organization.
