JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Process Specialist role will coordinate all activities for new machine sales. Oversee processes from beginning to end for shipping equipment to clients. Maintain communication with all involved parties to better coordinate machine configuration timelines and completion of sale preparation activities or changes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Act as the liaison between the Account Manager and various other departments for machine prep coordination for the client. Process all sales of new inventory requests from Account Managers.
  • Manage transport of new machines sold and used trade machines returned to Empire using the same designated vehicle to backhaul trade machine when possible.
  • Manage and match transport Purchase Orders to invoices including quotes and cost accounting.
  • Assist new inventory group with Get ready in Rental Management system and Sales Management teams with monthly forecast reporting.
  • Primary source for assigned store locations inventory processes, including shop performance, inventory levels of new machines and work tools.
  • Utilizing Empire systems, manage inventory and sale of proper assets. Create and maintain a record of request, records management procedures using Smartsheet software and similar software.
  • Execute appropriate shipping mode (no charge/loaner/demo shippers) to ship machine to the client.
  • Review details in SIA (Sales Invoice Application). Seek additional information from various sources if needed for each phase of the project.
  • Maintain continuous interaction with sales department personnel to achieve sales of equipment for client requests.
  • Assist accounting in the maintenance of all machine and work tool records.
  • Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide back up to other assistant inventory managers in supporting the department.
  • Work within and promote corporate values.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Knowledge of industry inventory processes; including production schedules, transportation, pricing fundamentals, etc. Caterpillar machines and work tools experience preferred.
  • Must be familiar with Machine Sales Invoice handling procedures, sufficient accounting skills to manage and report accounting adjustments to inventory.
  • Must be able to comprehend and apply all policies and procedures to coordinate machinery sales transactions.
  • Must be sufficiently organized to handle assigned research projects and complete work assignments on schedule.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  • Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as New Inventory Sales Specialist or equivalent experience required.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
