Current Opportunities
(2) Welder/Fabricator - 3rd Shift - Bring your weld equipment (Weld interviews are only available during session 1)
The ideal welding candidate will have proven ability in mig, tig or stick welding, troubleshooting skills, ability to understand weld symbols and tolerances. Past experience with blueprint reading is preferred, and a weld test will be required as part of the interview process.
Previous experience welding- mig, tig, stick.
Good math skills and ability to measure parts with calipers and/or tape measure
Mechanical aptitude needed for problem solving
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Welding Certification through an educational institution preferred.
(2) Loadbuild Operator - 1st & 3rd Shift
The key individual for this 3rd shift position will be responsible for running the Waterjet machine, Plasma, Rotary Blade, as well as assisting with Trim & Repair in the VEB department. This individual must be able to work independently, previous experience in a manufacturing environment, and excellent attendance.
Must have excellent work attendance
Basic computer skills needed
Mechanical aptitude needed for problem solving
Good math skills and ability to measure parts with calipers and/or tape measure
(1) Press Operator - 2nd Shift
The Machine Press Operator will perform tasks associated with the production of molded elastomeric bridge bearings. This position will load and/or unload presses and reassemble molds per production work order instructions. In addition, this role will be responsible for operating molding presses, handling tool equipment, forklift and overhead crane operations to perform job duties. The role is responsible for running production work orders safely while maintaining quality products, without rejection.
Previous experience in a manufacturing plant
Ability to operate one or more manual machines
Overhead crane and forklift operations
Read and understand production work orders and basic drawings
Mechanical aptitude needed for problem solving
Good math skills and ability to measure parts with calipers and/or tape measure
Strong attention to detail
Lift 50lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs consistently throughout the day
Ability to work under extreme temperature conditions
Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with 6S principles
Must have excellent work attendance
Able to work any shift and overtime as needed
(1) Summer Welding Co-op - 1st Shift
Following safety regulations (PPE)
Pass 2G FCAW weld certification.
Interpret blueprints, follow weld procedures, and measurements to plan layouts.
Weld small and large components.
Use of overhead cranes.
Weld components in flat and horizontal position.
Welders are also responsible for studying blueprints related to the items they will work on, ensuring that all needed materials are available, and maintaining the welding tools they use.
(1) QC Welding Inspector - 1st & 3rd Shift - Must hold and maintain current AWS Certified Welding Inspector Certification
This position performs inspections on incoming materials and fabricated products, in accordance with State DOT specifications and various owner requirements.
Weld fit-up and inspection in accordance with approved drawings, DOT specifications and AWS requirements
Coating Inspection (galvanizing, paint, etc.)
Perform NDT, or obtain hours in various methods to become qualified
Communicate with State DOT and 3 rd Party inspectors
Material Handling
Understand and process internal and external project sampling and testing protocols.
Coordinate with Manufacturing/Engineering with blueprint discrepancies.
Coordinate with production and suppliers on nonconforming material.
Communicate with colleagues effectively to enhance teamwork and overall results.
Execute administrative duties in an effective and timely basis.
Issue reports on timely basis.
Communicate all non-conformances to the Quality Supervisor.
