ASCO Power Solutions Architect – National Accounts at Schneider Electric USA, Inc in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Description:

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for an ASCO Power Solutions Architect-National Accounts located at one of our hub locations within the United States. In this role you will serve as a commercial and technical resource in support of the ASCO Power Technologies field sales and project management force when pursuing or executing complex projects. The individual shall understand the pursuit of complex projects with a keen understanding of the value chain members associated with these pursuits. An in depth understanding of customer buying behaviors, project engagement, and commercial pursuit strategy creation is required.

The individual shall be capable of conversing with all personnel engaged in the specifying/buying process inclusive of C-level personnel, consultants, contractors, end users, and other decision makers. The individual must possess an advanced level of knowledge for low voltage and medium voltage Power Control Systems, Automatic Transfer Switches in Critical Power applications. Knowledge and application experience with protective relay's and communication protocols is preferred. The individual shall embrace new technologies, understand, and clearly articulate the value of connected product architectures (CPMA / IoT / EcoStruxure Power) to customers. The individual must be motivated, self-driven, and a strategic thinker. Must be able to project manage multiple initiatives, work in a team environment, influence others, and possess strong interpersonal skills.

What will you do?


  • Establish solid relationships with internal and external audiences to drive complex project growth and profitability

  • Sell and leverage the sales and project management teams to execute ASCO Power Technologies initiatives critical to our growth ambitions

  • Serve as technical lead for tender management, technical bid packages, quotation support, specification compliance, deviation, and exceptions, and technical change order support.

System of Management


  • Clearly articulate the best offer and solution through system application knowledge, project bid strategy, and utilization of product/quotation resources.

  • Manage pipeline of engaged opportunities (Coordinate with ASM/Field Sales/Project Management/Program Management to determine projects where we are in a preferred position. Recommend which projects not to pursue)

  • Improve overall hit rate and margin on projects where engaged

Offer Support


  • Provide offer launch and ongoing technical support for ASCO Power Technologies offer management, project management, & marketing: Includes all aspects of launches: Awareness, specifying, technical & commercial internal training for competency build, external training, competitive analysis & education, in depth application expertise

  • System Design assistance, quote optimization, change order support, specification compliance, deviation, and exception reviews, and technical support for internal/external customers

  • Identify individuals for technical competency build and formulate a plan to further develop the

Who will you report to?

This position reports to the Director of Program Management - ASCO.

What qualifications will make you successful?


  • High Energy with ability to influence others

  • Low voltage and medium voltage application expertise

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Four-year technical degree, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering related and/or 5-10 years Business Development / Sales Experience in complex sales environments

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Salesforce, Adobe Acrobat
