Director, Specialized Sales & Technology, SE Federal

Lead a dynamic team of technical experts to unlock federal market growth and drive revenue.

Schneider Electric Federal is seeking an experienced, highly talented, and motivated leader for the position of Director of Specialized Sales & Technology. This critical role spearheads a group of Subject Matter Experts to support a team of regional and strategic federal sales executives. You'll optimize processes, ignite cross-functional collaboration, and drive impactful initiatives to fuel sales success and revenue generation. This position works very closely with other leaders in the Federal organization to coordinate efforts within the account base and reports directly to the SVP of SE Federal, as well as to assess current and future technologies and customer applications for Schneider fit, and owning technical projects on an as-needed basis.

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate SMEs, ensuring their expertise translates into winning projects.

  • Process Optimizer:


    • Identify and streamline workflow inefficiencies impacting SMEs, sales executives, and support personnel across business units.

    • Implement clear, scalable processes for faster, more efficient sales results.

    • Champion process adoption through proactive communication and training.


  • Collaboration Enabler:


    • Optimize communication between internal teams (SMEs, regional account executives, strategic account executives).

    • Work with colleagues to facilitate seamless knowledge sharing and collaboration to optimize sales cycles.

    • Cultivate a culture of teamwork and mutual respect across teams inside and outside federal.


  • Results Driver:


    • Identify and implement high-impact initiatives to enhance business processes and team effectiveness.

    • Regularly review and improve processes and procedures for optimal performance.


  • Technology enabler:

  • Proactively explore and adopt cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to drive efficiency and enhance business processes, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

    • Stay abreast of technology trends or emerging technologies, assessing their relevance to SE Federal.

    • Assess customer needs to determine Schneider fit and provide feedback into SE product development process.

    • Ensure SE Federal has the technological resources to deliver top-performing products and services and meet business goals.

    • Own initiatives of a technical nature on behalf of the SE Federal leadership team as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success leading a technical team in a competitive environment, including sales or sales support teams.

  • Understanding of the Federal procurement landscape and its unique processes.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Schneider Electric's product portfolio and solutions relevant to the Federal market.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for optimizing workflows.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.

  • Ability to drive change and inspire cross-functional collaboration across diverse teams.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and related business applications.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a technical major, MBA a plus.

  • 10+ years Technical Sales experience, with 5+ years in sales management

  • 5+ years of federal sales and sales management experience.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the year.
