Purpose:

Inspects all incoming Produce against USDA good delivery guidelines. Inspects all on-hand produce to assure Quality meets the highest standard. Verifies all dated products to assure shipping date meets customer expectations

Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Inspects all incoming shipments of Produce against good delivery guidelines, reporting results to Procurement.
• Accepts or rejects Produce based on condition, short weight, transit damage, grade, temperature, and other reasons. May reject product without further consultation if the product doesn't meet Company's requirements/standards.
• Conducts daily cooler walks to verify Produce quality, reporting results to QA Supervisor
• Conducts daily cooler walks to verify all dated Fresh inventory has sufficient dating for shipment based on established minimum dating. Report results to QA Supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Able to learn the standards for USDA Good Delivery guidelines for Produce.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Good initiative and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accountability
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to operate or be trained and certified to operate lift equipment
• Solid ability in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Excel primarily

Physical Environment:

• Some work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment, may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
• Associate may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.
