We are a sales distribution agent for over 50 major educational publishers and offer schools and other educational customers an extensive selection of over 100,000 titles warehoused at our 150,000 sq. ft. distribution facility located in Tualatin, Oregon. 

Job Overview

NWTD is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Warehouse Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders by picking, packing, shipping, and receiving textbooks and other related educational material. You will also assist with additional warehouse tasks as needed.

Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Receive inbound shipments from publishers by verifying piece counts, sorting materials by title, and recording quantities on receiving documents
• Use forklifts and related equipment to move inventory between various warehouse locations
• Prepare orders for distribution by weighing freight shipments, stretch wrapping pallets, and, verifying piece counts
• Assist Will-Call customers who visit the warehouse to pick up materials
• Process shipments by using XCarrier shipping software
• Perform various tasks to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Meet or exceed productivity standards
• Adhere to all safety guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Experience using forklifts, propane lifts, and other warehouse equipment is desired but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
• Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly for entire work shift
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
• Ability to work in temperatures between 50°F and 85°F
• Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
• Must have a demonstrated attention to detail
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing

Job Type: Full-time (40 hour/week)

Pay:  Probationary Rate $17.00-$20.00 /hour DOE

Probationary Period:  Six to 12 months from initial date of hire

Standard Work Schedule:   Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

                                                         Mandatory overtime may be required from May to September

 

Pay Type:  Paid Bi-weekly
