Job Summary

Conduct business process analysis, requirements assessments, and cost/benefit analysis to align information technology solutions with business and operations initiatives. Coordinate and participate on projects related to applications, data integration, application standardization and similar business and operations prioritizations. Keep close contact with information technology regional teams to follow the standard processes, adopting the baseline frameworks for documentation and applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Conduct inquiries and assessments to identify requirements to Information Technology solutions, focusing on solving business problems and needs.

  • Write functional specifications, user stories, use cases, or similar documentation for application development, enhancements, reports, and testing.

  • Analyze and define functions to improve existing systems.

  • Prepare project plans and implementation schedules, with the participation for cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and in-depth field experience regarding emerging or job technologies required to fulfill the job, this could include formal or self-paced professional development.

  • Provide status updates of assigned projects.

  • May lead cross-functional teams and projects.

  • Recommend/conduct training.

  • Serve as escalation point for troubleshooting issues, specially related to applications, shop floor systems, databases, reports, and related sources.

  • Maintain positive relations with all employees encouraging them to suggest ways of improving IT systems.

  • Demonstrate commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.

  • Maintain a good working relationship with customers and vendors.

  • Identify ways to reduce cost and to improve efficiency by streamlining processes and systems.

  • Offer ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement best practices.

  • Exchange knowledge and information with other Jabil plants, regions, divisions, to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization.

  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all company policies and procedures (e.g. Security, Health, Safety and Quality)

  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Jabil or customer specific.

  • Engage, embrace and cascade business and IT strategic directions.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g. hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS


  • Thorough knowledge and in-depth field experience regarding emerging or job technologies required to fulfill the job.

  • Strong communication, organization, attention to details, and customer service skills

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years work experience in a related position.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
