We are looking to hire a Mortgage Vice-President for our team!

Please note this role is on-site at our Waynesboro, VA location.

DuPont Community Credit Union (DCCU) is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Mortgage – Vice President to lead a high performing Mortgage department. Reporting to the Chief Lending Officer, this position provides the vision and direction to all aspects of mortgage origination and operation by setting the standards for outstanding credit uion member service.  As a direct lender to FNMA, offering in-house underwriting, processing and funding, we provide a full array of programs such as FHA/VA/RD as well as in-house portfolio programs. We are committed to serving our community as the premier mortgage lender in the Shenandoah Valley. 

What You’ll have the Opportunity to do:


  • Provide direction and supervision to lead a cohesive mortgage lending team to bring the dream of home ownership to the community.

  • Oversee and lead all aspects of Real Estate Lending including origination, operations, and underwriting.

  • Collaborate with high performing leaders to ensure DCCU is a mortgage lender of choice in the Shenandoah Valley. 

  • Maintain a productive workflow to ensure effective member and employee relations.

  • Participate in determining credit union goals and developing strategies to accomplish these goals.

  • Plan and implement mortgage programs to ensure competitive services and to stimulate overall loan growth to provide enhanced financial wellness to the membership.

  • Market analysis  to ensure DCCU in competitive and relevant in our products and service.

  • Enhance business processes and technology so that performance and productivity are continuously evaluated and improved.

  • Analyze performance, productivity and profitability of the real estate loan portfolio and collaborate with executive leadership to determine strategies.

  • Ensure that Real Estate loan policies, procedures, services, products, delivery channels and documentation meet federal and state regulations.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:


  • Bachelor’s Degree and five years equivalent management experience required.

  • Advanced leadership skills- leading highly effective teams

  • Experience as a direct seller to Government Supported programs, particularly with Fannie Mae.

  • Experience working with Mortgage Insurance providers.

  • Ability to think strategically and take initiative in implementing new products and services.

  • Ability to work in high pace deadline driven environment, while concurrently managing multiple initiatives.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

  • Advanced level of knowledge of Mortgage Lending.
