Job Summary

The Director of Enterprise Testing is responsible for leading our testing strategy and ensuring the quality and reliability of our enterprise software solutions. The Director of Enterprise Testing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of testing within the organization, including test planning, test design, test execution, and test automation.

Education & Experience

Required:

• BS in Computer Science or a related field; professional experience may substitute for formal education
• U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Three years' leading, managing and/or supervising people
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Certifications in CSTE and ISTQB
• Experience working in a high security environment supporting Healthcare and/or Government

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise testing strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and quality standards.
• Lead a team of testing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure the team's success and professional growth.
• Schedule and balance team activities to meet deadlines for deliverables and meetings.
• Oversee the design and implementation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, performance, security, and regression testing.
• Mentor team members in best practices and skills development.
• Escalate issues and problems to Senior Management that prevents or hinders the team's ability to perform optimally.
• Establish and maintain testing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Recommend and participate in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
• Implement test automation practices to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness across the enterprise.
• Monitor and report on key testing metrics, including test coverage, defect detection rates, and test execution progress, to senior management and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and quality assurance, to drive a culture of quality throughout the organization.
• Develop and execute test plans that are traced to documented requirements.
• Manage, control, direct, and supervise assigned direct reports, including general leadership, planning, organizing, and reviewing.

Problem Solving / Analysis: Ability to solve problems through systematic analysis of processes with sound judgment; has a realistic understanding of relevant issues.

Technical Skills: Collaboration skills; mentoring skills, proven history of managing small teams.

• Works in a standard office environment, with minimal travel
• Works non-regular hours as required
• Extensive computer work with prolonged sitting
