Job Description:

60% FTE, day shift, 8:00am – 5:00pm, 3 days a week – Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: 


  • Support the outpatient practice of our trauma surgeons and APPs who address orthopedic based trauma cases.  

  • Provide nursing support to our patients who seek care at the UW Health Ortho Trauma Clinic at University Hospital. 

  • Perform telephone and MyChart triage, in-basket management, care coordination and patient education. 

  • Be part of a team of world-class Orthopedics nurses and clinical staff specializing in Foot and Ankle Surgery, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, Orthopedic Trauma, Rehab Medicine, Spine Medicine and Sports Medicine.

Education:

Minimum – Graduate of school of nursing.

Preferred – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Work Experience:

Minimum – Six (6) months of RN experience. 

Preferred – Relevant RN experience. 

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact. CPR/BLS Certification.

Preferred – Applicable clinical certification.
