Work Schedule

100% FTE, 40 hours/week. Weekday and weekend shifts. Hours vary based on the operational needs of department.

We are seeking a Neurologic Physical Therapy Resident to: 


  • Attend and participate in didactic education designed to advance clinical reasoning and pattern recognition in neurologic physical therapy.

  • Challenge their own and fellow residents’ clinical decision making through constructive feedback in didactic units and case presentations.

  • Form alliances with patients and their families with the common goal of optimizing function following new and chronic neurologic impairments. 

  • Collaborate with other providers in coordinating patient and family care across multiple services.

  • Receive and modify practice patterns based on constructive feedback from mentors.

  • Serve as instructional assistant for the University of Wisconsin Doctor of Physical Therapy neurologic courses.

Education:

Minimum – Graduate of an accredited, entry-level degree program (Baccalaureate or higher) in Physical Therapy is required.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin is required. Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator is required.
