Manage the accounting team and oversee accounting functions for the company
Responsible for the monthly preparation of accurate financial reports and supporting schedules
Responsible for month-end Work in Process report
Monitor and ensure the accuracy of the daily transactions and journal entries
Operation of the general ledger system, journal entries, and month-end close work
Monthly entries, accruals, and reconciliation of intercompany accounts
Preparation of monthly reports for the parent Company
Assist in the annual audit and preparation of financial statements
Assist in the preparation of tax return
Assist in the budget process and periodic forecast updates
Collaborate in the analyses of financial statements
Cash flow and collection forecasts
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Eight (8) or more years related experience; with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the construction industry
CPA preferred.
Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a high level of ability working with spread sheets.
Detailed knowledge of Work in Process reporting and Percent of Completion accounting

Construction experience for a heavy civil contractor is a big plus
