Our Digital Services and Software team is building upon our leading Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solution by leveraging the Internet of Things. Our teams in Andover, MA and Foxboro, MA are responsible for bringing together power & cooling infrastructure within the data center into a cloud-based monitoring and management solution. This application, EcoStruxure IT Expert, is changing the way that Data Centers and Edge environments are managed by providing actionable insights that give data center managers back more time in their day, improve energy efficiency, and minimize application downtime. Solving customer problems that address real pain points is the focus of what we do within engineering. Doing so typically requires a combination of front-end and back-end development to build a working solution. This position is for a Software Engineering Intern within a stream aligned team building EcoStruxure IT features that address customers' reporting and device management needs. This role is located in Andover, MA for Summer 2024.

What will you do?

• Participate in planning meetings, developer documentation, and other aspects of
  the software development lifecycle.


• Write automated tests and perform manual testing under the direction of more
  senior engineers.


• Fix software defects.


• Write quality code under the direction of more senior engineers

• Pursuing a degree in computer science or related field.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.


• Experience coding in one or more languages. Preferably Java


• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and write quality code on past projects.


• Demonstrated understanding of computer science fundamentals (data
  structures, algorithms, etc.)


• Ability to review unfamiliar code, recognize problems, and suggest solutions.


• Demonstrates a strong command of the tools and technologies used on past
  projects


• Demonstrate a continuous desire to refine your craft and learn from mistakes.
